LOTS OF LOVE // 003

LOTS OF LOVE // 003
I am a mosaic of everyone I've ever loved, even for a second, even for a heartbeat.

When I first read this quote a few weeks ago, I was amazed by its beauty. It really felt like those words had gone directly into my heart. I met a lot of people in my life, and I might not even remember all of the people I've ever met. But somehow, all of those people shaped me and my identity. At least, that's what I thought for a long time.

That was until I met the love himself. God. I once wrote in my journal, "I never knew what love is until I met the God who became my first love." and it's true. God is love. I am the product of love because the love himself created me and gave me people who love me and people I can love.

For years of my life, I let the people I love define my identity. I was who the people said I was. But that stopped the moment I realized that my true identity can only be found in the lover himself. His love was greater than my sin. And here I am, writing these words and hoping to reach people with the love of Christ. Because he is the one who knows everything about you. Every little detail, every feeling, all the pain you've ever felt. Everything that ever happened—he knows about it. And still, he loves you. He knows who you are. You are a child of God, made by his image with all of his perfection. You are not who others say you are. Don't let them define you. They are just people. But HE is the Creator of the universe, your Father, and the love himself.

I am not a mosaic of everyone I've ever loved, even for a second, even for a heartbeat. But they are a part of my experiences, my memories, and they made me feel a lot of different feelings. Even though I loved and still love them, I don't let them define who I am. I only let myself be defined by the one who loves me more than anyone else ever could. The love himself.

Lots of Love, rjf.

Unfortunately, I was not able to find the author of the quote above. If you know the author, please write me a message and tell me the author's name so I can add it to this post. Thanks for reading my love letters. <3
